Walks

Walking in the Cotswolds offers the serious walker or more casual rambler a wealth of opportunities.

What better way to appreciate this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty than on foot, enjoying those wonderful Cotswold Walks. Breathe the fresh air, relax and de-stress by taking in some healthy exercise!

Meadowbank House is situated right on the Oxfordshire Way, a wonderful countryside walk stretching sixty-five miles south-east from Bourton-on-the-Water to Henley-on-Thames. There are Cotswold Walks a plenty in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds and plenty of short rambles right from our door! We are happy to provide maps and suggested itineraries.

At Meadowbank House you will find a variety of books, guides and maps for your use to help plan a walk to suit your ability.  Don’t forget your walking boots!

Meadowbank House is participating in the Visitor Payback Scheme, called Step into the Cotswolds.

We ask each guest to make a small voluntary contribution to help raise funds for projects that will conserve the area, make it more accessible and tell people about its special features.

The money that you give will be used to develop a series of short, circular walks on existing footpaths.

Last year, guests at Meadowbank House raised £60!
